Nestled into the verdant woods of Chestnut Hill, a stately Georgian home displays elegance and a subdued palette. After its extensive renovation, its new owners, both avid swimmers, embarked on a vision to build the ultimate pool complex into the side of a steep hill without sacrificing the carefully nuanced natural setting or marring the subtle intersection of the house and surrounding woodlands. Even more challenging was incorporating a wine cellar, tasting room, pool kitchen, spa and music room, opening directly onto the pool itself. By using stone quarried on the property, a graceful transition was achieved that captured the subtle beauty of the textures of nature. The stone arches recall those in the main house and echo the undulating curves of the land, resulting in a sense of serenity and calm.
