Society Hill Renovation
ASID Interior Design Awards Honorable Mention for Residence between 1,500 and 3,500 Square Feet
When a New York couple, both prolific writers and philanthropists, relocated to the historic Philadelphia neighborhood of Society Hill, their primary goal was to connect to the vibrant arts and culture scene and, after years of living in high-rise buildings, to enjoy the gardens and terraces that cascade down every floor of this historic townhouse. Ingeniously renovated to allow abundant natural light to flow into every room while maintaining the detail and proportions of the 19th century, this house enjoys a “marriage” as brilliant as that of its owners.
