American Splendor: The Residential Architecture of Horace Trumbauer
A 1970’s contemporary two story residence now enjoys the ultimate “Hollywood set” makeover. Rather than simply demolishing the sharp angled, rough wood-clad structure and then building a new stone manor on the original foundation, a new three story façade was built in front of the existing house and connected ingeniously at the critical junctures of windows and doors.
