In this impressive English Renaissance style manor, a decidedly masculine air permeates throughout the baronial structure. The robust details, so powerfully rendered in dark-stained oak paneling, ornate plaster ceilings and exuberant limestone mantels, had been diminished by years of mechanical systems that desiccated the wood and fireplace smoke that stained the mantels.
